Afreen Pappa, M.D., ’92, joins Vein Clinics of America in River Oaks

Downers Grove, Ill.  – Vein Clinics of America recently announced the addition of Dr. Afreen Pappa, MD to their network of physicians that specialize in the various treatments of venous disease. Dr. Pappa joined The Houston – River Oaks clinic fulltime on Monday, August 15.

Dr. Pappa, a graduate of McGovern Medical School, was an Assistant Professor and Associate Family Medicine Residency Program Director at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She was previously a Medical Director and primary physician at JAVĀNI Centers for Wellness in Stafford, TX. Most recently, she was a Center Physician at Pre-Diabetes Centers in Southwest, TX specializing in pancreatic, hormonal and vascular deficiencies. Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America, Dr. Pappa underwent extensive training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders, and was trained in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment (ELT or ELVT). Dr. Pappa also knows the importance of the treatment of vein disease, as she suffers from varicose vein disease and has undergone treatment herself at Vein Clinics of America.
