Frisco psychiatrist Clifford K. Moy, MD, was elected speaker of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) House of Delegates, the association’s policymaking body. The House of Delegates reelected Dr. Moy during TMA’s annual conference, TexMed 2012, held this year in Dallas. For the past four years, he has served as vice speaker of the TMA House of Delegates.
Dr. Moy has been an active TMA leader since medical school. He chaired both TMA’s Medical Student Section and its Resident and Fellow Section. Since then he has served on numerous TMA councils and committees, including the association’s Council on Medical Education, Committee on Performance Excellence, and Committee on Physician Distribution and Health Care Access. He also is a Texas delegate to the American Medical Association (AMA) and a member of the AMA Council on Long Range Planning and Development.
Dr. Moy is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School and has been practicing medicine for 23 years.
TMA is the largest state medical society in the nation, representing nearly 46,000 physician and medical student members. It is located in Austin and has 120 component county medical societies around the state. TMA’s key objective since 1853 is to improve the health of all Texans.
