Dr. John E. McDonald is the new chief medical officer of North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills.

McDonald, who’s been licensed by the Texas Medical Board since February 1983, has served as secretary, vice chief of staff, and chief of staff for the Medical Executive Committee. He recently completed a Masters of Science in healthcare management at the University of Texas at Dallas’ Naveen Jindal School of Management.

“I look forward to supporting our mission to serve, care for and assist in the healing of our patients and their families”, he said in a statement. “North Hills Hospital has always been an important part of my professional career and it is an honor for me to serve in this capacity.”

McDonald is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Society, and the American College of Medical Quality. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and completed residences at Kansas University Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City and at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
