Dr. Joey Hung is a double board-certified physician in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Dr. Hung went to college at Binghamton University where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in neuroscience. He then completed medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. After he completed his Anesthesiology residency at The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center, he then pursued further training at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in interventional pain management. Dr. Hung uses multidisciplinary approaches to treat pain, including use of injections, minimally invasive procedures such as spinal cord stimulator, interspinous spaces, and augmentation in vertebral compression fractures. Dr. Hung is also an active member of multiple societies including American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA), American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA) and American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Outside of medicine, Dr. Hung enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and three dogs.
