In order to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s related dementia, the UTHealth Consortium on Aging will host its fourth annual World Alzheimer’s Day event.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the UTHealth Cooley Center located at 7440 Cambridge St. The event is free, however registration is required and can be completed by clicking here. Lunch and parking will be provided.
The 2019 event focuses on financial preparedness and features a presentation titled “Planning for Tomorrow: Avoiding Last Minute, High-stress Surprises” by author and investment advisor Tom Stephens. Stephens holds a unique perspective in wealth management based upon more than 30 years as a banker, successful entrepreneur, retired executive, and wealth manager.
World Alzheimer’s Month is the international campaign by Alzheimer’s Disease International every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. World Alzheimer’s Month begin in 2012. For more information on World Alzheimer’s Month click here.
