PAD/Limb Salvage Case Conference set for Jan. 22
The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery invites all health care professionals and medical students interested in helping to care for patients with limb-threatening ischemia to the Peripheral Arterial Disease and Limb Salvage Case Conference Jan. 22.
The event, hosted by Bruce Tjaden, MD, associate professor of vascular surgery, will be held at 7 a.m., Jan. 22 in MSB B.620. In partnership with Memorial Hermann Hospital, the educational series offers a multi-disciplinary approach to limb preservation and amputation prevention.
The conference focuses on case presentations of challenging limb salvage situations, which involve multidisciplinary care and highlight each specialty’s role in the patient management to foster a better understanding of the different skill sets, experiences, and expertise each specialty brings to the table.
