Free COVID-19 webinar set for May 2-3

COVID WebinarA pair of McGovern Medical School scientists will join the Taste of Science and the American Society for Microbiology Texas Medical Center Chapter to host a free webinar series on the COVID-19 pandemic, May 2-3.

Some of the leading experts in the fight against COVID-19 will break down the pandemic and discuss plans for future solutions in a webinar that is open to the public. The event will be hosted on Zoom and on Facebook Live.

Part one of the webinar begins at 2 p.m., May 2 and features Blake Hanson, PhD, assistant professor of internal medicine, as well as experts from Baylor College of Medicine and Harvard. The session will focus on debunking myths about COVID-19.

On May 3, Ayesha Khan, PhD, clinical microbiologist will join physicians from Baylor College of Medicine and Methodist Hospital to host the second session starting at 2 p.m. Session two features information on the path going forward to continue fighting the spread of COVID-19.
