McGovern Medical School students returning to classes Aug. 1 will notice the Medical School Building’s auditorium in room 3.001 will have a fresh look for the beginning of the 2022-23 academic school year.

Renovations began just before the end of May, when the incandescent light bulbs were replaced with LED bulbs throughout the room.

Renovations continued with the repair of any minor holes in the ceiling or walls, before fresh paint was applied throughout the entire auditorium. From there, the hardware for the doors at the entrance of the auditorium were replaced in order to provide better security.

Next, the room received new glass marker boards at the presentation wall for a fresh look during lectures and speeches, before each of the room’s existing chairs were re-upholstered to cap the renovation project.
