UTHealth Houston Mobile App Contest

UTHealth Houston students who download the new student-centered mobile app between Monday, Jan. 9, and Monday, Feb. 6, can help their school win a $1,500 award that can be used for a social event or party on campus.

The Office of Academic Affairs is hosting the four-week contest that will award $1,500 to the school that has the most students download the app, and $1,500 to the school that has the highest percentage of their students download the app.

“These awards are an incentive for our schools to begin actively promoting the app and encouraging downloads to our students, as an easy way to communicate among themselves and central student services,” said Eric Solberg, senior vice president for academic and research affairs at UTHealth Houston. “The schools that embrace the competition and take on the challenge will be rewarded with what I’m sure will be a really fun social event.”

The app can be used to access class schedules, grades, and other information while on the go, and is available for both iOS and Android devices by visiting the App Store or Google Play and entering “UTHealth Student” into the search. Students may also take the mobile app tour before downloading at https://www.uth.edu/student/uthealth-student-app.

The app features a community feed that serves as a social hub where students can connect with friends, ask questions, and share information. Students can engage by logging in with their UTHealth Houston credentials and visiting the community forum to post in their school’s public channel.

The UTHealth Student app was developed by the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Success in coordination with Ready Education.
