The 10th Annual Houston Aortic Symposium – 2017

The department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the McGovern Medical School are preparing for The 10th Annual Houston Aortic Symposium, being held here in Houston, TX February 23 – 25th. This annual event will bring together some of the world-renowned and widely recognized medical professionals to cover multiple educational sessions encompassing the latest clinical and scientific advances and challenges involving: Ascending Aortic and Transverse Arch Aneurysms, Aortic Dissections (Proximal and Distal; Acute and Chronic), Descending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms, Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysms, Aortic Root/BAV, Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair, Molecular/Genetics/Medical Management, Imaging, Structural Heart and Peripheral Vascular Disease.

The symposium will be chaired jointly by UTHealth’s Dr. Hazim Safi (Chairman, Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery) and Dr. David D. McPherson (Chairman, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine). Program Directors include Drs. Anthony Estrera and Ali Azizzadeh of the UT CV Surgery. In addition to chairing this event, Dr. Hazim Safi will be honored at the symposium for his exceptional work and dedication to his practice.
