The faculty and trainees of Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery were in attendance representing the UTHealth banner at the 47th Annual Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery Symposium (SCVS) that was held in Boca Raton, FL March 16th through March 20th.

A huge congratulations to Dr. Scott Ryan for winning the SCVS coveted Top Gun Award, during the skills competition and to Dr. Hunter Ray for advancing on to the final 4 of the competition.

At this year’s meeting, three projects were selected to be included in the meetings’ program and abstract sessions.  Additionally, two projects from the department were selected to compete in the Karmody Poster competition, along with four projects in the e-poster category.

While in Boca Raton, the UT CV Surgery team presented and competed in the following areas:
