The Society of Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Annual Meeting (VAM) offers top-tier educational programming. The 2021 conference marks the 75th annual event, set to take place on August 18 to 21 in San Diego, CA. Attendees and presenters eagerly anticipate the return of in-person meetings, offering high-quality content on important topics, including diversity in healthcare, community practice, COVID-19 in relation to vascular surgery care, and more. This year’s meeting offers a hybrid learning experience —allowing those unable to physically attend the option to live stream the meeting’s sessions.
VAM provides an outlet for presentations, panels, and discussions with leaders in the field of vascular surgery, including several of our faculty, residents, and research team members.
“We are excited to represent UTHealth at VAM,” says Guilherme B. Barbosa Lima, MD, post-doctoral research fellow at UTHealth Houston. “We are looking forward to reconnecting with our colleagues from the U.S. and abroad, especially after last year’s cancelation due to the pandemic. We are proud to have our projects accepted at such a prestigious academic event.”
