Biography
Dr. Kamal Khalil previously held the position of Chief of Division of General Thoracic Surgery at the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of General Vascular Surgery. Dr. Khalil sees patients in a five county radius, other parts of Texas, and internationally. Dr. Khalil focuses on providing personalized patient care. His patients are a high priority and are always put first.
Dr. Khalil has authored numerous publications and given many lectures. He is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, M.D. Anderson Associates, American College of Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Arab American Medical Association, Houston Surgical Society, and Texas Surgical Society. He has also received several awards throughout his career. In his spare time, Dr. Khalil enjoys tennis and gardening.
