Biography
Known to his patients and the local medical community as Dr. Mani, Dr. Stephen Maniscalco is a board-certified Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon, who was named Physician of the Year at Woodlands Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2017, and Best Cardiac Surgeon of The Woodlands by Living Magazine in 2019 and 2020.
Dr. Mani attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and has been in practice since 2002. Previously a part of the Baylor Faculty for surgery, he is now the owner and sole physician at Elite Heart Lung and Vein Surgeons in The Woodlands, Texas. In addition to performing the most advanced and ground-breaking cardiac procedures, he also has vast experience in the more standard cardiac and vascular surgeries. Dr. Mani believes in finding the best solution for the patient during what can be some of the most difficult times in their lives. He takes his time explaining procedures thoroughly and making sure the patient and family members are comfortable before moving forward with surgery. He is continually expanding his knowledge of the latest, most cutting-edge treatments available.
When he’s not performing surgeries, he enjoys spending time on the track with his sports car, doing projects around the house, and working with computers. Parents of three children, he and his wife Jill have recently welcomed their first grandchild, Roman, who has become their pride and joy.
A tradition of excellence has earned Dr. Mani a national reputation, as well as being named one of “America’s Top Surgeons in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery”, several times over the years. More than anything, he has a passion to improve the everyday lives of his patients and restore their health so they can get back to their normal lives.
