Outreach Initiatives

Aspirations in Medical Professions (AMP)

A mentorship-based (pipeline) program for 8th – 12th graders that exposes young minds to the wonderful possibilities of careers in healthcare.  We are looking for schools interested in participating in this program and willing to provide transportation for their students to our campus twice per school year.

Pre-JAMP Symposium

Held every year in the spring to expose current high school seniors and college underclassmen to the Joint Admissions Medical Program  (JAMP).  JAMP is a special program created by the Texas Legislature to support and encourage highly qualified, economically disadvantaged Texas resident students pursuing a medical education.  To learn more about JAMP, visit this site.
