Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) 

Who we are:

The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA)  is an organization founded to represent, support, educate, and unify Latino medical students nation-wide. LMSA aims to provide a voice to medical students from underrepresented groups, promote recruitment and retention of Latino students, educate medical students on Latino health, and provide leadership opportunities for Latinos. Through service, mentorship, and education, LMSA empowers medical students to advocate for the health of the Latino community.

Ways to get involved:

All McGovern medical students are eligible for membership. Membership includes access to free lunches during lecture meetings, volunteering opportunities in Latino-serving clinics, a mentoring program, medical Spanish practice sessions, and fundraising and academic events. Non-members are welcome to our lecture meetings and to participate in fundraising events.
