Dr. Henry Wang has joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as the Vice-Chair of Research. Dr. Wang is one of the nation’s most prolific Emergency Medicine scientists and is internationally recognized for his scientific work in prehospital airway management, resuscitation and sepsis epidemiology. Dr. Wang is Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded Pragmatic Airway Resuscitation Trial (PART), which is comparing paramedic intubation with laryngeal tube airway management in adult out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. He also leads the NIH-funded REGARDS-Sepsis study, one of the largest population-based studies of sepsis epidemiology. Dr. Wang is a Senior Associate Editor for the Annals of Emergency Medicine.
