The WomenInWhiteCoats.com blog is the voice of women in white coats. It is a forum for women in healthcare to discuss the issues that face us as a group. It is a place to advocate for change in improving inequalities in healthcare. It also is a place to provide mentorship to the next generation of women in white coats.

Houston Medical Forum
The Houston Medical Forum was founded in 1926 as a Houston doctors association for black doctors. Today it exists as a component society of the National Medical Association, Inc. and a branch of the Lone Star Medical Association. Its members consist predominantly of African American physicians and surgeons as well as attended by residents and medical students.

National Hispanic Medical Association
The mission of the organization is to empower Hispanic physicians to lead efforts to improve the health of Hispanic and other underserved populations in collaboration with Hispanic state medical societies, residents, and medical students, and other public and private sector partners.
Latino(a) Medical Student Association
The LMSA Mission is the following: The Latino Medical Student Association unites and empowers medical students through service, mentorship and education to advocate for the health of the Latino community.

Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality (GLMA)
GLMA is a national organization committed to ensuring health equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and all sexual and gender minority (SGM) individuals, and equality for LGBTQ/SGM health professionals in their work and learning environments. To achieve this mission, GLMA utilizes the scientific expertise of its diverse multidisciplinary membership to inform and drive advocacy, education, and research.
