Heather Robinson, MD

Dr. Robinson was recently named the EMS Fellowship Associate Program Director at McGovern Medical School. She began her career as a paramedic with the Houston Fire Department in 1996, serving the City of Houston for 16 years. In 2010, she began medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine and continued working with HFD until 2012. Dr. Robinson graduated in 2014 and returned to Houston to complete her residency training in emergency medicine at McGovern Medical School in 2017. She then rejoined the Houston Fire Department as an Assistant EMS Physician Director and completed her EMS fellowship through McGovern Medical School in 2018. She is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and board-eligible in Emergency Medical Services.
She currently works as a staff physician at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, holds a clinical instructor position at McGovern Medical School, and continues to serve as Assistant EMS Physician Director with the Houston Fire Department. While not working, Dr. Robinson enjoys time with her furkids, traveling, and scuba diving.
