Without Salary (WOS) Appointments
Without Salary (WOS) appointments designate faculty appointments to individuals who participate in UTHealth teaching programs on a volunteer basis without remuneration (see HOOP Policy 189). The Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer (EVPCAO) oversees this process at the institutional level.
Please note – The EVPCAO Office will prepare an institutional appointment letter to be mailed to the WOS faculty member once the WOS appointment paperwork has been received from the MMS Office of Administration & Faculty Affairs. This letter requests the faculty to sign in acceptance of the appointment and return to the EVPCAO in a designated period of time. If the letter is not signed by the faculty within the specified return date, then the appointment is considered void.
For additional information and requirements, visit the Educational Programs & Services site.
