Biography

Alejandro Vidal Margenat, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist focused on providing exceptional care for patients battling cardiovascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias.

Dr. Vidal has a singular vision of providing compassionate care and his expertise in catheter ablation and cardiac device implantation makes him an invaluable resource for patients.

In addition to being a dedicated physician, he is also an educator and researcher who is passionate about empowering patients and shaping the future of cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr. Vidal has contributed to numerous publications and has presented at major conferences such as the Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology/World Congress of Cardiology, and the Latin American Heart Rhythm Society.

Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, Dr. Vidal earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the prestigious University of the Republic. Fueled by his passion for cardiac electrophysiology, he then pursued further training during his residency, including an external rotation at the esteemed Cardiac Electrophysiology Service at the Clinical University Hospital in Valencia, Spain. This experience, combined with his European Heart Rhythm Association certifications, set the foundation for his career in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac devices.

Furthermore, Dr. Vidal served as a cardiac electrophysiology fellow at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in experimental medicine. He serves as an assistant professor of clinical cardiac electrophysiology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
