Biography

Dr. Deepa Raghunathan obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in biomedical engineering. She then completed medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. Next, she completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and then her cardiology fellowship at UTHealth Houston, where she served as chief fellow during her final year of training. She has since joined as faculty at UTHealth Houston where she enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.

She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
