Zaka Khan

Zaka U. Khan, MD, FHRS, specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and treats patients for complex cardiac arrhythmias.

His clinical interests focus on catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation (AF), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), as well as implantation and follow up of cardiac device therapy including conventional & leadless pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators. He strongly believes in tailoring treatment based on individual patient’s needs, striving for the highest ethical and treatment standards, and advocating for optimal health care policies.

Dr. Khan is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and recognized by his peers for excellence and skill in medical practice, teaching, or research.

Dr. Khan has been appointed as an assistant professor of internal medicine / clinical cardiac electrophysiology at UTHealth Houston. He takes pride in teaching young doctors in general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship programs. He is actively involved in multiple research studies and clinical trials directed at management of complex arrhythmias.
