Dr. Gary Rosenfeld, professor of pharmacology and associate dean of Medical Education in the Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology, received the Merrell Flair Award in Medical Education last month at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Annual Meeting in Boston.
Rosenfeld, who has served for the past 20 years as assistant dean and associate dean for educational programs, received the award at Learn Serve Lead: The AAMC Annual Meeting, held Nov. 3 to 7. The event attracted more than 4,500 attendees and offered more than 120 education sessions and networking events for educators, researchers, patient care providers, administrators, and other health system leaders. The Merrell Flair Award honors an individual “who has made a major contribution over a significant time period to the process or administration or transmission of information regarding medical education in North America.”
