Konstantinos Charitakis, M.D, FACC, completed his Internal Medicine residency as well as fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at Cornell-New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Charitakis was then recruited to UTHealth McGovern Medical School as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiology and as a member of the Interventional Cardiology Team at Memorial Hermann Hospital under the mentorship of Dr. Smalling.
Dr. Charitakis is an interventional cardiologist with clinical expertise extending from the performance of complex coronary interventions to the endovascular treatment of peripheral artery disease. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is committed to training the next generation of physicians and plays an active role in the clinical education of medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
