Biography

Lan S. Wang, MD, is a faculty attending gastroenterologist/hepatologist and assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  She is a graduate of Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.  She received her medical degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.  Thereafter, Dr. Wang completed a fellowship in gastroenterology in Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.  She stayed at Beth Israel Hospital after graduation and practiced gastroenterology for three years with a special interested in liver diseases.  She now practices gastroenterology at the Ertan Digestive Diseases Center in UT Health and at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Houston medical center. She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently and is conversant in medical Spanish.
