Biography
Dr. Sharma received his Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas – Austin in 1995. In 2000, he graduated from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Houston Medical School in 2002. In 2005, he finished his Research Cardiology fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he was mentored by Dr. Heinrich Taegtmeyer. Dr. Sharma went on to complete his Clinical Cardiology Fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2007 and his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor of Cardiac Electrophysiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Director of Clinical Research for the Complex Arrhythmia Center at Memorial Hermann The Medical Center, in additional to being a staff Cardiac Electrophysiologist at UT Physicians – EP Heart.
