Dr. Claire Clark is a postdoctoral fellow with the McGovern Center and a dually trained historian and behavioral scientist. Dr. Clark is working currently on a book that will explore the rise of the addiction treatment industry since the 1960s. She recently had a blog piece featured in the Baker Institute Blog by the Houston Chronicle. The blog provides viewpoints from the public policy institute, which is affiliated with Rice University. Dr. Clark’s post was titled “The Future of Treatment in Drug Policy: Stigma Remains a Serious Problem,” and presents the medical humanities and ethics perspective on the subject.
