Ahead of World Autism Day on April 2, a piece by Jackson A. Thomas of Community Health Magazine shared details of a recent study of sleep in children with autism spectrum disorder. Anson Koshy, MD, MBE was interviewed for the article, noting that poor sleep can affect many things, including memory and learning. In a child with autism spectrum disorder, Koshy explained, lack of sleep can worsen their behaviors, leading to irritability among other things.
