Monday’s morning show on Fox 26 featured Anson Koshy, who discussed Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Koshy shared several symptoms of ADHD, noting these can affect many areas of a person’s life. A diagnosis of ADHD is common and treatment options such as behavioral tools, classroom accommodations, and medications are available. Opting for medication is a big step, Koshy explained, that should be combined with non-prescriptive approaches. Though teachers are often the first to notice possible signs of ADHD in children, Koshy encourages parents to reach out to their child’s pediatrician if they are concerned.
