Off Script: Stories from the Heart of Medicine is a co-sponsored event by Baylor College of Medicine, the McGovern Center and McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, and the University of Houston. Since 2016, the event has been held across the Texas Medical Center with two annual storytelling events. On Thursday, September 17 at 6:00 pm, stories on the theme of hope will be shared during a one-hour virtual Off Script event.

The event will feature a palliative care physician, medical researcher, high school teacher, first-year medical student, and a third-year resident physician. Topics include false promises of cure, a patient’s optimism, and hope that wavers with the loss of a loved one.

The event will be held on Zoom. Registration is free and requested in advance.
