Are you a history buff? If so, you have the opportunity to delve into the Medical School’s story with, “Conversation with a Medical School,” which chronicles the first 30 years of the Medical School and supports student scholarships.
From before there was a building, to the first dean and earliest faculty, “Conversation” also provides a look back at the creation of The University of Texas Health Science Center.
The hardback book was published in 1999 and written by Dr. Bryant Boutwell, holder of the John P. McGovern Professor in Oslerian Medicine.
Copies are available in the Office of Communications, MSB B.340, for $20. All proceeds go to the Boutwell-McGovern Scholarship Fund, which will award three $8,000 scholarship to incoming Medical School students this fall.
