spineThe Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Spine Division is pleased to present an educational program designed to enhance spine care in our community at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 16.

The proper management of spinal disorders is in evolution. There are many methods of treatment to choose from when providing care to spine patients. The spine practitioner benefits from discussing these choices with the spectrum of specialties involved in spine care. Currently, there is no other opportunity for this interaction in our community.

The first session, “Minimally Invasive Solutions for Spinal Trauma,” will be led by Dr. Daniel Gelb, the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  The second session, “Case Discussions,” will be presented by Dr. Milton Lee “Chip” Routt, Jr., professor of orthopaedic surgery.

The meeting will be held at Hotel ZaZa, 5701 Main St., 713.526.1991.

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
