All UTHealth faculty members are invited to register for a free special presentation: “What You Need to Know About Student Stress, Burnout and Suicide,” scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25 at the Denton A. Cooley, MD and Ralph C. Cooley, DDS University Life Center, 7440 Cambridge St. Pre-registration is required, as seating is limited, and breakfast will be served from 7-8 a.m., with the program from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

The invited presenter, Dr. Liselotte Dyrbye, is a consultant in the Division of Primary Care Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and chairs the Clinical Experiences Committee for the Mayo Medical School. She is a member of the Mayo Medical School Curriculum and Education Committee and associate director of the Department of Medicine Program on Physician Well-Being.
School of Dentistry Dean John Valenza, heard Dyrbye speak at a national conference and found her message so compelling that he believed it would be of value to UTHealth faculty. This event was organized by the School of Dentistry and is sponsored by the Dean’s Academy of Distinguished Teaching Scholars.
