A forum, “Recent Developments in Treating Bipolar Disorder,” will be hosted from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the UTHealth School of Dentistry, Room 4330, 7500 Cambridge St.

Topics include:

  • Newest trends in medication and other treatment options.
  • Recent adaptations in psychological approaches to therapy and psychoeducation.
  • Everyday habits as prevention strategies—how sleep, exercise, and stress management impact mood regulation and medication use.
  • The lifespan of bipolar disorder—early treatment and lifelong management.
