The Class of 2020 had a busy first day at McGovern Medical School July 28. The day began with a welcome speech by Dean Barbara J. Stoll and a general orientation program. The entering students also had a chance to learn about all the student organizations  during the Organization Fair in the Leather Lounge. The first day was documented with a class photo where students jumped for joy on their first day in medical school. The final event of the day was the White Coat Ceremony at the Bayou City Event Center where students listened to the keynote address by Dr. Francisco Fuentes, donned their white coats officially for the first time, signed the ethical pledge register and took the Oath of Hippocrates.
