Calling all students, faculty and alumni – registration is now open for the 41st Annual Henry Strobel Retreat, which will be held at Camp Allen (18800 FM 362, Navasota, TX 77868) Aug. 11-12.

Whether you are a student who wants to help out and meet your classmates, a faculty member looking to mentor new students, or alumni seeking to reconnect with your alma mater, you are welcome to join in with this 41-year-old tradition. The Retreat offers opportunities to meet other classmates in a stress-free environment with activities like athletic competitions, skits and panels that will cover topics that will continue to be relevant to students in medical school and beyond.

Each year, the event boasts a different theme that establishes the vibe for the weekend and the activities. This year, the Retreat is embracing “School of Medical Magic” – think of Harry Potter, only with a medical student twist. Participants are invited to bring a costume related to any Harry Potter character. (Note: Costumes are mandatory as Aug. 11 ends with a costume party.)

Shirts are included with registration and will be limited by size, so make sure to register soon.

Volunteer opportunities are also available and an online registration form can be found here.

For questions about the retreat and how to get involved, contact Sameul Floren (Samuel.a.floren@uth.tmc.edu) or Conner Patrick (conner.a.patrick@uth.tmc.edu).
