Registration for attendees is now open for the first annual Houston Shock Symposium, presented in association with University of Texas Health Science Center and McGovern Medical School, set to be held April 7 and 8.

The Houston Shock Symposium is a new, dedicated cardiogenic shock symposium that encompasses interventionalists, advanced heart failure cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac physiologists, cardiologists, and engineers. The two-day symposium will be held at the JW Marriott (806 Main St.) in downtown Houston and features formal presentations, case illustrations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions.

National and international speakers will be discussing several aspects of this complex physiologic state, percutaneous mechanical assist device therapies, the emerging role of extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation, and cardiogenic shock following acute myocardial infarction, all in a format that allows attendees to actively participate and engage with invited faculty and share best practices.
