Students at McGovern Medical School enjoyed a week of stress-free activities during their lunch hour during Wellness Week 2018 February 5-9. Monday and Tuesday students gained important information on sleeping well and eating well from guest speakers Dr. Leonard Chow and Catie Cohen. Wednesday was a service day as students prepared more than 300 valentines for the residents of St. Dominic Village, a retirement community in the Texas Medical Center. Students were able to take their minds of the stress from school by playing board games and video games Thursday afternoon. Andrea Pinto, a first-year student, led a zumba class Friday afternoon. Healthy lunches were provided during all of the events. Wellness Week activities were presented by the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs Wellness & Resilience program.
