Students at McGovern Medical School had the opportunity to enjoy food, special performances, and a keynote presentation on “The Evolution and Advancement of African Americans in Medicine.” by Dr. Valerae Lewis, chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Feb. 16 as part of this year’s Annual Black History Month Program. The annual event is presented by the Student National Medical Association and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
