Aronowski receives prestigious international stroke science award in research

Jaroslaw Aronowski, Ph.D., professor, vice-chair and the Roy M. and Phyllis Gough Huffington Chair in Neurology at McGovern Medical School has been awarded the prestigious 2017 Thomas Willis Award for significant translational contributions to clinical stroke research by the American Heart Association.


McCullough honored with NIH Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award

McGovern Medical School’s Louise D. McCullough, M.D., Ph.D., has won the Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. She will receive up to $4.6 million in funding for research investigating the impact of social isolation on stroke recovery.
