Hello,
Earlier this week we celebrated national Doctor’s Day. The medical school community is proud of the incredible job our doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other caregivers do every day — but especially in these most challenging times.
Imagine what a surprise it was to receive an email from Dr. Eugene Toy, assistant dean of educational programs and professor of obstetrics and gynecology, who shared messages of gratitude and encouragement from a group of local high school students. Episcopal High School teacher Hillary Houle assigned her students the task of expressing thanks to the health care workers of Houston. Ms. Houle is the former teacher of one of our first-year McGovern Medical School students, Meghan Juedeman.
Please read the heartfelt and delightful notes that these students wrote in appreciation of YOU. Let me add my THANKS.
Warm regards,
Barbara
