Hello,
The McGovern Medical School’s Office of Communications was created to serve a dual role – to provide internal communications and to offer creative services to serve the needs of our faculty, staff, and students.
The Office of Communications is our school’s resource to broadcast your department’s news, events, and accolades—everything from disseminating news via the weekly Scoop newsletter, social media channels, and our website, to providing photography and videos to document our school’s events and history. Please send any news items to scoop@uth.tmc.edu and provide your calendar updates online.
The Office of Communications website is a resource where you can download the official McGovern Medical School logos as well as templates for your posters, PowerPoint presentations, email signatures, letterhead, fax, and memos. You also may download templates to broadcast events to be displayed on the TV monitors on the ground floor of the medical school building– something we call DNA (daily news access). Events may be broadcast for up to two weeks at a time.
The Office of Communications recently created a video to explain its mission of providing fee-based creative services, including graphic design, poster printing, photography, web development, and video.
The medical school’s latest annual report is available online or in hard copy format (available in the Office of Communications, MSB B.340).
Contact this group when you have a newsworthy event to promote, or are in need of their services.
Please join me in thanking Darla Brown and her team for everything they do to communicate what you do to the broader academic and Houston communities.
Warm regards,
Barbara
