The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship program is accredited by the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program is a three-year training program that provides both strong clinical and basic science experience to prepare individuals for an academic career and clinical practice. The program currently accepts four fellows to the program per year.

Our fellows receive a stipend to take 4 calls per month at our main teaching sites and have the option to moonlight throughout the Memorial Hermann system for additional pay if desired.

The Division is staffed by 23 full-time faculty members with expertise in diverse areas of high-risk obstetrics, critical care obstetrics, fetal diagnosis and therapy, and three MD, Ph.D. clinician scientists. The supporting staff includes 23 sonographers, 11 genetic counselors, one certified diabetic educator, two advanced nurse practitioners, and 8 research coordinators. We seek fellows with enthusiasm for excellence in clinical care and research with the potential for a significant and sustained contribution to education.

As international experts in the field, our Maternal-Fetal Medicine faculty provide education and training of Fellows through hands-on, supervised ultrasound scanning. Fellows have direct involvement in care of patients with medical, surgical, and critical care disorders. Our Fellows also have the opportunity to attend a multitude of conferences on all aspects of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. In addition, we provide research training in both basic and clinical research. We have been a member of the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Network for the past 14 years, and our Fellows are actively involved in conducting secondary analyzes from studies conducted by the Network.
