Biography

Dr. David Crumbie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Crumbie specializes in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in injuries of the shoulder and knee. He is the assistant team physician for the NBA Houston Rockets, University of Houston athletics, as well as several high schools in the greater Houston area.

Dr. Crumbie received his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He attended medical school at the East Carolina School of Medicine. Following internship and residency at the University of Florida- Shands – Gainesville, he went on to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Crumbie is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
