Dr. Michael Cusick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Dr. Cusick specializes in Shoulder and Elbow surgery with an emphasis on arthroscopy and the reconstruction of the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Cusick currently provides coverage for Humble High School, Atascocita High School, Summer Creek High School, New Caney High School, and Porter High School.

Dr. Cusick received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He attended medical school at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following his internship and Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Cusick went on to complete a fellowship in Shouder and Elbow Surgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. Studying under Dr. Mark Frankle and Dr. Mark Mighell, he performed a large volume of shoulder and elbow replacements, including many revision surgeries. During his training, Dr. Cusick provided coverage for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as the New York Yankees spring training camp.

Dr. Cusick is active in several professional organizations, including the Arthroscopy Organization of North America, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Shoulder and Elbow Society.
