Dr. Lin Jones has recently retired from his clinical practice but will remain on board as academic faculty to UT Ortho. He has transitioned his practice to Dr. Steven Schroder. Dr. Lin Jones is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He serves as the Medical Director of the Total Joint Replacement Center at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Jones had a special interest in Total Joint Reconstruction with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques for knee replacement and arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Jones received his undergraduate degree from McMurray College in Abilene, Texas. He attended medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, where he also completed his internship. Following residency at The University of Texas Hospitals in Houston, Texas. Dr. Jones went on to serve as the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at McDonald Army Hospital at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
Dr. Jones is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Western Consultation Panel for Hip and Knee Arthroplasty.
