TMC Lung Research Symposia
The Texas Medical Center (TMC) is one of the largest clinical-care facilities in the globe. It boasts three of the most important transplant centers in the US. It is also home to an active preclinical research footprint.
To help fulfill the mission of the PCOE to bridge the gap between clinical care and basic research to uncover new therapies to treat lung diseases; we have initiated the TMC Lung Research Symposia.
These symposia aim to bring together clinicians and preclinical scientists across the TMC to discuss emerging topics in respiratory disease and care.
The TMC Lung Seminar Symposia are scheduled quarterly and topics for 2023-2024 include:
- “Stuck in Traffic, understanding the role of stem cells in lung regeneration, a path for therapy?”
- “COVID-19 From critical-care to lung transplantation: clinical challenges and research insights”
- “Vascular-Mesenchymal interactions: at the forefront of Group 3 Pulmonary Hypertensionā€¯
- “The many faces of Next Generation Sequencing: from single cell RNA-seq to HI-C 3.0; impacts to lung health and disease “
