Access to pediatric specialty care expands with the opening of a clinic in Fort Bend County.  The new UT Physicians Pediatric Center – Sugar Land clinic is located at 17510 W. Grand Parkway South, Suite 550.

The pediatric center, housed within the Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Medical Plaza 1 building, is now open with six specialties provided for patients from birth to 17 years of age.

“When families consider specialty care, they often think of the need to go to the Texas Medical Center,” said Robert J. Yetman, MD, vice chair of clinical operations in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and a pediatrician with UT Physicians. “For many, that can seem daunting and it is challenging with family schedules to make the trip. We opened this clinic to reach out in the community to offer care closer to home. We have a specialty clinic in The Woodlands and it is very successful. Families are pleased with that option in their community.”

Staffed with board certified pediatric specialists, the center offers cardiology, endocrinology, urology, nephrology, neurology, and gastroenterology. It is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Since 2010, with the opening of a UT Physicians clinic in Missouri City, UT Physicians, the clinical practice of McGovern Medical School, continues to expand with community-based clinics across Southeast Texas. With over 100 locations, UT Physicians has more than 1,800 health care providers certified in 80 medical specialties and subspecialties.

“UT Physicians continues to respond to a need in Southeast Texas for access to high-quality health care in their neighborhood,” said Andrew Casas, chief operating officer and senior vice president with UT Physicians. “We look forward to providing exceptional services at this new clinic in Sugar Land.”

UT Physicians accepts all major insurance carriers including Medicaid. Appointments can be made by calling 713-486-9360.
