Research Interests
Dr. Flores is the principal investigator of an active laboratory in the pathogenesis of Gram-positive pathogens including group A Streptococcus (GAS) and group B Streptococcus (GBS). The Flores Streptococcal Laboratory is investigates the molecular mechanisms (bacterial, commensal, and host) associated with asymptomatic carriage and disease of GAS and GBS using classic bacteriology and state-of-the-art sequencing technologies.
